B.O. Banish deodorant
B.O. Banish is a deodorant cream that neutralises body odour - naturally! This deodorant formulation banishes unwanted body odour with carefully selected all-natural and organic ingredients containing deodorising and anti-bacterial properties.
This product is suitable for both women and men with a fresh scent that is pleasing to both.
The formulation is a creamy paste packaged in a 50g tin.
Why go natural?
Unlike other deodorants, this formulation does not block your sweat glands. Commercial deodorants use an array of harmful chemicals to achieve this antiperspirant nature, such as aluminium, parabens, propylene glycol, triclosan, and artificial fragrances.
An aluminium build-up in the human body has been linked to neurotoxicity (Alzheimer’s specifically), as well as cancer. Sweating is a natural way of expelling toxins from the body. If the pathway is suppressed by antiperspirant, it means toxins accumulate under the skin and can lead to cell mutation and hormone disruption.
For those familiar with natural crystal deodorants, they are mineral salts called Potassium Alum - which is also a form of aluminium!
Using a truly natural deodorant is particularly essential during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Anything applied to the skin can enter the bloodstream and potentially be passed through to the baby.
New to natural deodorant?
If this is your first rodeo, you may find you need to give your armpits a chance to detox if you have religiously been using commercial deodorant. Often people discover they react to natural deodorant as the body gets sent into overdrive after being chemically suppressed for so long, manifesting in itchiness, sting, and irritation.
How to detox?
Our detox clay is now available for purchase separately here. The bentonite clay will help draw out toxins, heavy metals and other impurities (think face mask for your pits!) including all those chemicals you have been applying there from your commercial deodorant.
Please note: some people find they are sensitive to sodium bicarbonate which is an active and necessary component in the original formulation. We cannot guarantee you will not experience a skin reaction and cannot be held responsible if this occurs. Patch testing prior to use is recommended. We do have an extra-sensitive formulation now available for this purpose if you do believe you are sensitive to baking soda.
APPLICATION
With clean, dry hands apply a pea-sized amount with your finger and gently rub it into your clean armpits. Apply daily, or as often as required. It is a bit like moisturising your armpits - in fact, you are!
